Ahmedabad Calling...

There was great excitement when 12 of our Kolkata Sanved Girls returned from their 7days workshop  from Ahmedabad.

Durga , Jhuma and Amina were the three musketeers from Kolkata Sanved , who shared the experience "Darpana" workshop in Ahmedabad , held by Gurus,  renowned dancers , Ms.Mallika Sarabhai.This workshop is held once every year for 7 days. It is a dance workshop to provide the grammar and training of dance with theory. The workshop is conducted in the local dialect of the particular place where the workshop is held.

The girls enjoyed the workshop so much that they lost track of time and hardly felt the stretch of long hours from morning 7am to 6 pm. There were various activities like Yoga , colourepie2 (which is a form of martial arts from Kerela,South India) and of course dance forms.

Besides the activities , the participants were also given information and reasoning behind various activities , to understand the aesthetics and meaning of them like the why,what and how...

All  girls  returned rejuvenated and enthusiastic from their experience of visiting a new place , making new friends and the overall experience of the workshop.
